Perfect house & Location
Our family of nine visited over Fourth of July week this beautiful house. The house was spotless and exactly as described in the post. We had a great time with such a clean, comfortable and well located home away from home. The beach was across the street - very close. Outside shower and hose was very handy to keep sand under control. House air quality, a big issue for us, was excellent. We hope to come again.

The house was clean and spotless upon our arrival. High quality mattresses, pillows and bedding. Thoroughly enjoyed the swing and picnic tables under the carport. Easy beach access. Our family had a wonderful time. Communication with the owner was easy.

Great home, great owner, great location!
We’ve been renting homes at OBX for over 25 years and this has to be the cleanest home we’ve ever stayed in! The location was incredible with a walkover ramp vs stairs to the beach right across the street. We were able to walk to get ice cream several evenings and loved the central location. The house had everything we needed and more. The owner, Stephanie, was just super to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. With 7 adults and one toddler in this home, we we very comfortable. We would happily recommend and rent this home again!!

Its an older property with a great location. No ice maker or linens or towels or dish cloths etc. Make sure you download the VRBO App or you will not know this. My family really enjoyed our stay. Her house cleaner claims they found dog hair after our stay. I paid alot of money for a sitter for our 2 dogs which I can verify. I wonder does the cleaner charge more for dog hair?? They claim the last renters had a dog as well. I had great communication with the owner throughout the vacation.I would recommend this property for location to the ocean front!

Fantastic Vacation!
We had a wonderful time at this adorable and well-located property! There was enough room for my family of 9 to be together in the living room/dining room area and enough space for any of our adult children to be on their own. My teenager loved the little reading nook on the second floor during quiet times. My 6 year old and 4 year old granddaughters loved the space under the stairs for their quiet time! We all loved that we could see the ocean from the top balcony and all the sliding glass doors which gave a wonderful view of the life-guarded beach access! The short walk to the beach was especially nice when we carried over our beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, and coolers! The central location of this property gave family members good travel time when visiting points north or south. There are also many excellent restaurants and grocery stores near this location. Communication with the owner, Stephanie was excellent! My family and I would definitely choose to stay in this house again and again!

We absolutely loved this beach house! The location was amazing with spectacular views of the ocean! Stephanie the owner was so very friendly and accommodating whenever I needed to ask her questions. Wonderful Week at the Outer Banks
What an amazing week at the beach! The accommodations at Cool Breeze were fantastic! The house was beautiful and perfect for our family of six. The ambiance of the home was warm and inviting, and the beach vibe was evident in every room. Attention to the guest experience was evident in the numerous details that made our stay so enjoyable: a well-stocked kitchen, comfy pillows and throws, room to dine in comfort, plentiful outdoor seating on the multiple decks, and accessible beach gear! The walk to the beach was a breeze, directly across the street. There were so many delightful restaurants, ice cream spots, and activities in the immediate area. Our visit to the Wright Brothers Memorial was a highlight of the trip. The owner was so very personable and responsive from the time the reservation was made. This was our first trip to the Outer Banks, and we will definitely return!

Wonderful Stay at Cool Breeze!
Our group of six just returned from Cool Breeze and our stay was wonderful! The location to a guarded beach was priceless. The house exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our our needs and comfort. The location of the house is also ideal for all the sites as well as convenience to the grocery store. The owner was lovely to work with during our stay. I would highly recommend this home!

A great and much-needed escape!
We wanted a safe location to enjoy a vacation during Covid-19, and this house was perfect for us. It was clean and very well-stocked, which made it easy to feel comfortable there for all our meals. The beach access was so close and easily accessible for both the grandparents and kids. Altogether a great experience.

What a great stay we had at Cool Breeze; great house and location! With access to the beach right across the road, it made for an easy trek to and from the house. From early morning sunrises on the front upstairs deck, to cooking and eating at the big kitchen table, we fed our souls with the goodness of the beach. Highly recommend this property. We will be back.

The location of the property was great! A very short walk to the beach, could not have been much closer! The house was nice. We did not end up with as many people at the house as expected, and 2 baths was enough, but would have been hard if we had had everyone.

Cool Breeze Cottage
My family and I had an outstanding week in Kill Devil Hills at the Cool Breeze Cottage. This property is right across the street from the beach, and walking distance to the Wright Brothers Memorial. The furniture is nice and cozy and the house is it great condition. Stephanie is extremely responsive and helped me every step along the way in preparing this family trip. This cottage was the perfect size and location for my family and I couldn't have asked to make it any better. I will go out of my way to make sure that in the coming years I can stay at the Cool Breeze Cottage again.

Great beach house for a great price
My family just came back from a week stay here. The location is fantastic, the beach is just a short walk away. The house was very clean and Stephanie was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. The beds were comfortable and there were new tvs and plenty of amenities. It's a great house, no complaints.

Cool Breeze Cottage
My family and I had an outstanding week in Kill Devil Hills at the Cool Breeze Cottage. This property is right across the street from the beach, and walking distance to the Wright Brothers Memorial. The furniture is nice and cozy and the house is it great condition. Stephanie is extremely responsive and helped me every step along the way in preparing this family trip. This cottage was the perfect size and location for my family and I couldn't have asked to make it any better. I will go out of my way to make sure that in the coming years I can stay at the Cool Breeze Cottage again.

Great beach house for a great price
My family just came back from a week stay here. The location is fantastic, the beach is just a short walk away. The house was very clean and Stephanie was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. The beds were comfortable and there were new tvs and plenty of amenities. It's a great house, no complaints.

My Favorite Week of the Year!
This is the second time we've stayed here and it might've been better than the first (which was pretty perfect!). We had great weather, the beach wasn't too crowded, and a friend of our family came with her two kids and we were so thrilled at how baby safe this rental is! There aren't excessive nick knacks, there was a high chair and a baby gate! There were even sand buckets and shovels to play with at the beach! We LOVED that there was a full time life guard at the beach, as the surf was rougher than usual this week. Everything was just as described and everything was gorgeous and spotless. The manager is one of the best we've ever dealt with - a pro at customer service! She went above and beyond for us. We would absolutely recommend this place to family and friends, so you better book it before we take all of the available spots!

Wonderful family vacation!
We had an amazing week at your lovely home. Since I have 4 grand babies (3 of which are 1 and under), the convince and close proximity to the beach was exactly what we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and all the beds were extremely comfortable. We were close to all the main attractions and the restaurants we love. Definitely home away from home!
This house was so great. We were expecting it to be wonderful and were still impressed at all of the personal touches. The owners definitely take great care of this place. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could want on vacation- wine glasses, pancake griddle, seafood steam pots, you name it! The views from the decks are gorgeous and it's just a 2 minute walk to find your perfect spot on the beach. The house is on the beach road and all you do is cross the street and walk down the boardwalk ramp to the sand. And there's an outdoor shower WITH HOT WATER so you don't track sand all over. That definitely came in handy. You can even see the ocean from the upstairs bedroom window! The house had plenty of space for us to spread out and not get in each other's way. There are board games and books and direct tv in case you need to spend a day/evening inside chilling out. The location itself is so convenient. You can get anywhere you want to be on the outer banks in 15-20 minutes. We spent a lot of time on the beach and didn't even pack our lunches because it was just a 2 min walk back to the kitchen! Definitely loved this place and it will be the first place I ever check availability for when heading to the beach. It's been a while since I had been to the outer banks and this house has absolutely set the bar. Yes, it's that great!

Very nice vacation home.
The house had everything you could want for a beach vacation. It lived up to my expectations. It was very well located and close by to lots of local area attractions. It was a key part of my family having an awesome vacation. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Great home- Great location
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cool Breeze. The home is well maintained and the customer service provided was fantastic. The location is centrally located with a quick drive to any of the area's main attractions. The beach is just across the road and an easy walk. Thanks to the guest book located in the home, we had no problem locating local restaurants and finding the back way into the Wright Memorial for our morning walks/runs up to the monument. We would recommend this home to any of our friends.

Great house, great location.
Searching for a vacation home is not an easy process. For my family it was important to find the right location with easy access to the beach and a home that was updated and clean. When I opened the door to Cool Breeze, my first thought was “wow, we definitely made the right choice! " The owners have taken a great deal of pride in updating this home with bright paint, well stocked kitchen, new carpet, new bedding and lovely art. The check-in and check-out process is really simple and they provide you with lots of great information about the area. That's how we found the local fish house - Billy's Seafood at Collington. Easy Beach Access
We had a great time at Cool Breeze. The house is so clean, and the kitchen had everything needed for a big pancake breakfast or platters for taco night. We really liked the new beds! Even though there were 9 of us, we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Having happy hour while watching the waves was relaxing on the upper deck. We also enjoyed picking crabs on the picnic tables. There aren't commercial businesses at the house, like in some parts of KDH, but so many nice places are within a short walk. Stop n' Shop Gourmet Deli sandwiches were a hit with the adults and kids. An evening walk up to Dairy Queen was even a bigger hit with the kids (and grandparents). The beach was nice, plenty of room for bocci ball and umbrellas. The house is so convenient to the beach. It was really nice to be able to pop over the dune to re-stock the cooler or to take a break from the sun. Even though we have stayed before in the Outer Banks, the owners had great ideas of things to do in the guest book.Thanks for sharing your house again!

Great beach home! Great beach! Great fun!
We've stayed in this lovely cottage three years and fine it so comfortable, warm, and convenient that we rent from the Estes (really nice people) with confidence that we'll have a fantastic beach week. Lots of space for everyone with an open floor plan and decorated to be beach friendly as well as clean, well maintained, and well equipped. We love the location, close to our favorite sights (Goombys, Exxon station, Wright Brothers Memorial and convenient shopping), and also centrally located to visit north or south Outer Banks. Being across the street from a beach access makes it simple for my 85 year old mom to drive over and we can also tote all of our beach stuff by car, there are always parking spaces available. Otherwise it is a very short, easy walk from the cottage. We especially like the fact that there is a lifeguard on duty and plenty of sandy beach. Beautiful sunrises from the walkover gazebo and stunning sunsets over the memorial.Cottage has good parking, nice outside decks and an outdoor shower .

We loved this house
We've been going to the Outer Banks for years, but always went further south to Avon or Frisco. Last May, we stayed at this lovely cottage in Kill Devil Hills and really enjoyed our week. The location is a real plus -- just a short walk to the beach and it's close to shops and restaurants, many within walking distance. This house is also a short walk from the Wright Brothers' Memorial and there's a bike path that explores the other side of the island. One day, we biked to the giant sand dunes. The house is very comfortable is nicely furnished. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need if you cook-in. We intend to stay here again.

Awesome Vacay for Family of Four
We spent a week there summer of 2010. This was our first time in the OBX and took a leap of faith. The house was amazing -- Immaculate, well-equipped and the proximity to the beach was perfect. Our family of four (including 2 boys ages 10 & 7) had one of our best vacations ever. The waves were great for the kids and there were tons of activities when we needed a break from the beach. Would highly recommend staying here for your OBX vacation.

Exceptional beach cottage in historic KDH, OBX
Our family has chosen to stay at the Estes’ OBX beach cottage three times since 2006. The non-smoking house is conveniently located in the shadow of the Wright Brothers’ national monument and directly across the street from the public access beach. The house is very well appointed and comfortably sleeps up to 10 adults and children. The recently-renovated house includes air conditioning (and screened windows), ceiling fans, an ample kitchen, two indoor and one outdoor showers, a gas grill, washer and dryer, and covered parking. Families can enjoy cable TV, a nice video/DVD collection, and free WiFi access. We particularly enjoy the fantastic two-story, south-facing deck (with private access from the master suite) with a great 180-degree perspective of the sunrise in the morning and the moon in the evening. We also like to BBQ and have dinner on the porch, too. The cottage is also located within walking distance of numerous highly-rated restaurants, convenience stores, and, most importantly, Dairy Queen! The weekly rental price is also VERY competitive compared to other (often less well-appointed) houses in the same area. We will definitely return again and again! The Schart family Chicago, IL USA

Five years and counting!
For the past five years, I've stayed at this lovely, charming and accommodating house. It's just about my favorite place to be, and here's why: I wake up every morning in a big, comfy bed, head out to the porch and sip my coffee to the sound of crashing waves and the fresh sea breeze. How can it get much better than that? Well, it does. I then spend lazy days on the beautiful beach, followed by happy hour and dinner out or at home. There's plenty to see and do with friends and family, but I prefer the comforts of being at the beach house. The kitchen is wonderful for cooking and the big family table is great for enjoying meals at home. This house is fantastic! It's spacious, decorated beautifully and beyond comfortable. Negatives? Having to leave when the vacation's over. I'm hooked!

Great house and Great Location
The house was so comfortable and had such a wonderful open layout with great amenities. We loved the informality of the kitchen/dining area, so great for enjoying a special time with family or friends. The short walk to the beach was a breeze-even carrying two surfboards! Location is just minutes from attractions (Wright Musuem) and shopping and having the Stop N Shop so close made minor shopping needs virtually hassle free. We particularly loved being so close to, Goombays, one of our favorite restaurants in the OBX. We can't wait to go back. Highly recommended to anyone!

Lynn was very quick to respond and make sure we were ok to book and get to Nags Head. Check in was a little unusual for me since we had the keys mailed, however they're just old school a everything went smoothly. Location could easily be less than 5 min from the beach.

Wonderful visit to Nags Head
This was a wonderful place for our group of 2 adults and 2 teens to get some beach time and Nags Head hospitality for a week. The house was in a peaceful location, while being just a short walk to the beach and close to lots of restaurants and things to do. It was also a dog-friendly house, with the nearby beach being dog-friendly even in the summer, which was a huge plus for us. The house had nice spaces for hanging out, a stocked kitchen and everything we needed with the feel of historic Nags Head with modern amenities. We had a great time and hope to return!

This home is a true gem! Lady Cottage felt like home away from home to our family of 5 (3 kids ages 9, 7 and 5). Fully equipped kitchen, a closet filled with puzzles and games, beach chairs and umbrella, so close to the beach - it was all perfect! Loved the screened porch and the little balcony in the master room. Communication with Lynn was a breeze. We just drove back home today and are already thinking about going back! I hope this becomes a tradition in our family!

Cute place! Close to the beach!
We loved our stay here! It was my parents and my 3 year old son. It's super close to the beach and lots to do. Had almost everything we needed and I loved that there were beach chairs and umbrellas for us to use! It was the perfect size for my family and the location is perfect and was quiet for night time! I loved sitting on the screen in porch at night. We did have concerns about the AC working funky and the host was super responsive and had an HVAC specialist out within the half hour to check it out and make sure we would be good for the week. The hosts made it very easy to check in and out; a different process than I'm used to but very simple! It's a simple place and was perfect for our stay and what we were looking for. My only (small) "complaint" would be the showerheads are out of date and both my parents and I found the beds not super comfortable and made us a little stiff in the mornings but nothing a walk, beach time and some movement didn't cure! I also love that they included a survey of before and after so that they can continue to make sure the place is making people happy. I definitely think we would use this place again! Thank you :) !!!

Love the Lady Bug
The property has everything you need to feel at home and is very clean. My young granddaughters were amazed by and enjoyed using the outdoor shower too. The location is in walking distance to the beach, pier and many other points of interest and is only within a short driving distance to the lighthouses and museums, which was great because this was an educational trip for my granddaughters. I would certainly recommend staying at here.

My spouse and pup enjoyed our stay at the Ladybug, It was super close to beach access yet in a nice comfortable community. The home had everything we needed, was clean and especially enjoyed all the outdoor sitting areas and nice comfy sofas when it was time to head indoors. A great property for feeling like a local. Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of outdoor lounge areas. The lighting on the stairs was a nice feature. It is ablock away from the beach and centrally located to most of our vacation activities. Added bonus was it was walkable to a great park and YMCA. Very near a grocery (Food Lion). Updated kitchen and access to cleaning equipment such as a vacuum, mop, and brooms. Very easy to keep the sand outside to house.

Everything was wonderful! The house was perfect for our family. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach. There was a binder with so much helpful info for the area too. Communication was great during the rental process. I highly recommend this house and the owners are wonderful!

Family together time
Went here with my 2 older sons, husband and our dogs and had a great time relaxing and taking a break from day to day life. Celebrating mother's day weekend here was a much needed break and this house accommodated or need perfectly. My big dog slides a lot on regular floors so the carpet throughout helped him tremendously. The house had everything we needed for cooking meals and using the grill. Went to the beach which is a 2 minute walk and the place had chairs already there. Great place to stay for families.

This home is a true gem! Lady Cottage felt like home away from home to our family of 5 (3 kids ages 9, 7 and 5). Fully equipped kitchen, a closet filled with puzzles and games, beach chairs and umbrella, so close to the beach - it was all perfect! Loved the screened porch and the little balcony in the master room. Communication with Lynn was a breeze. We just drove back home today and are already thinking about going back! I hope this becomes a tradition in our family!

Cute place! Close to the beach!
We loved our stay here! It was my parents and my 3 year old son. It's super close to the beach and lots to do. Had almost everything we needed and I loved that there were beach chairs and umbrellas for us to use! It was the perfect size for my family and the location is perfect and was quiet for night time! I loved sitting on the screen in porch at night. We did have concerns about the AC working funky and the host was super responsive and had an HVAC specialist out within the half hour to check it out and make sure we would be good for the week. The hosts made it very easy to check in and out; a different process than I'm used to but very simple! It's a simple place and was perfect for our stay and what we were looking for. My only (small) "complaint" would be the showerheads are out of date and both my parents and I found the beds not super comfortable and made us a little stiff in the mornings but nothing a walk, beach time and some movement didn't cure! I also love that they included a survey of before and after so that they can continue to make sure the place is making people happy. I definitely think we would use this place again! Thank you :) !!!

Love the Lady Bug
The property has everything you need to feel at home and is very clean. My young granddaughters were amazed by and enjoyed using the outdoor shower too. The location is in walking distance to the beach, pier and many other points of interest and is only within a short driving distance to the lighthouses and museums, which was great because this was an educational trip for my granddaughters. I would certainly recommend staying at here.

Absolutely loved the Ladybug and the location was excellent!!!
The owners were easy to work with and the beach house was so comfortable and open. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and dining. The bedrooms were very spacious and the master had a surprise private balcony!

perfect location in Nags Head
My spouse and pup enjoyed our stay at the Ladybug, It was super close to beach access yet in a nice comfortable community. The home had everything we needed, was clean and especially enjoyed all the outdoor sitting areas and nice comfy sofas when it was time to head indoors. Kitchen had all the necessary items for cooking,.....we ate dinner in every night ....great seafood market nearby was a nice place to get our main course. Thanks again Lynn and Linda

A great property for feeling like a local. Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of outdoor lounge areas. The lighting on the stairs was a nice feature. It is ablock away from the beach and centrally located to most of our vacation activities. Added bonus was it was walkable to a great park and YMCA. Very near a grocery (Food Lion). Updated kitchen and access to cleaning equipment such as a vacuum, mop, and brooms. Very easy to keep the sand outside to house.

Family together time
Went here with my 2 older sons, husband and our dogs and had a great time relaxing and taking a break from day to day life. Celebrating mother's day weekend here was a much needed break and this house accommodated or need perfectly. My big dog slides a lot on regular floors so the carpet throughout helped him tremendously. The house had everything we needed for cooking meals and using the grill. Went to the beach which is a 2 minute walk and the place had chairs already there. Great place to stay for families.

Great place near the beach
My wife and I brought our two dogs for a few days at the beach and really enjoyed our stay. Place was clean and comfortable. Living room has two recliners (two!), couch and love seat. Master bedroom has a step-in shower and closet (master bedroom even has its own back deck, which overlooks the backyard shrouded in trees). Ceiling fans installed in all the bedrooms and living room. The thick binder in the living room was packed with useful info. (recommended places to eat, area attractions, brochures, etc.). Spent one quiet evening relaxing in the large, screened-in front porch waiting for pizza to be delivered (warning: be patient. We ordered from Pizzazz Pizza-great food by the way-and the delivery time was 90 minutes, which they told us up front. And this is off-season). Love how close you are to the beach. Just a block and a half. House is on a quiet, dead-end road, which is perfect for walking the dogs (or just take them on the beach. No restrictions as far as when they're allowed on the beach that I could see. Should be on leash of course). We'll be back!

Perfect location! Great price! Great cottage!
This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at the ladybug with our two small dogs. We love the cottage! It's a short walk to the beach. Close to all of our favorite restaurants. Spacious and comfortable! We've never had any issues with electronics, plumbing, etc. The owners are very quick to respond to correspondence and very courteous. We love the ladybug!

Perfect Quaint Vacation Get-a-way !
Charming house was perfect for our family and small dog. Well furnished with all amenities and ample room for everyone. Located on a quiet dead end street with very short walk to beach access. You are able to hear the waves crashing on the shore from the spacious screened in porch. My 80+ mother managed the stairs and daily walks to the beach. Owners’ very accommodating, even replacing a broken beach umbrella (from prior renters). We would highly recommend this house for a great relaxing week at the beach. Will be back for sure !!!

Perfect!
This is the perfect house if you are looking for a relaxing get away. It is a short walk to the beach with direct beach access. We are a family with three kids and two dogs, everyone had plenty of room. There is a front porch that is great for the dogs. The neighborhood is great for the kids to play and walk the dogs. Everything you need for a great beach week! We will be repeat renters.

Adam's house was in the perfect location for a busy tourist area. Out of the main area but not too far out to where it made it inconvenient. The neighborhood was quiet, charming and felt very safe. The water being in the backyard was wonderful for lots of fishing & enjoying the sunrise/sunset. The home itself felt very homey with a great amount of kitchen essentials, games and space. The added "game room" items in the basement and the hot tub are such a nice addition. We were traveling with my mother who can do stairs but not a ton and they need to be nothing too steep. While searching the area for travel homes, several got eliminated looking at the stairs entering the homes. The stairs entering this home were great and she had no trouble with. Adam was a great host. I only had a couple simple questions for him and he responding immediately. He was very welcoming and kind. Would highly recommend this home if visiting the Outer Banks!

We had an amazing stay at Adam’s Three Suns Soundside home!
The house was spotless, incredibly well stocked, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the bedding and towels were soft! Our kids absolutely LOVED fishing and crabbing from the seawall. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit and the STUNNING sunsets!!! The sound views from the living room, kitchen, and dining area made every day experiences like coffee and a meal extra special!
Adam was an outstanding host; quick to respond, kind, and always made us feel valued. We couldn’t have asked for a better host/person!
Future guests: bring bug spray in summer and slip-on shoes for the backyard. It’s NC and on the Sound, fire ants, mosquitoes, biting flies just happen. Explore the area, enjoy a fun restaurants, visit the Wright Brothers Memorial, and take advantage of the community pool $2/person for their stay *cash only.
We left Three Suns Soundside with wonderful memories and hope other guests do too!

The home was clean but could probably use a tad sprucing up for the smaller details like repaint stains, ensure hot tub is cleaned, very minor things. Overall, our stay was great, and I would stay again and recommend.

We had a great stay! The house had lots of fun things for our kids to enjoy. The water was gorgeous and the neighborhood was really peaceful - but we were also really close to all of the action at Jockey’s Ridge and the Wright Brothers Memorial. Wonderful place!

Can’t say enough about how wonderful stay was. We booked pretty last minute because of a cancellation somewhere else and adam was so hospitable and thoughtful. There’s a lot of space here and a lot of things to do outside because they have paddle boards and a hot tub. There are also so many games for adults and kids. There are enough bedrooms for several people and a really big common room right next to the kitchen. It’s very easy to access the water which was high on our list. We hung out outside quite a bit, especially because of the enclosed outdoor area.
